Třebešice is a village in the heart of the Kutná Hora region in Central Bohemia. With fewer than three hundred inhabitants, it had long lacked facilities for municipal equipment and technical infrastructure - both essential for maintaining public spaces that are otherwise cared for with admirable precision.

Where a barn once stood on the former Bašus estate, new stone walls have been constructed. A slender steel frame has been inserted into their mass, supporting a roof that seems to hover above the landscape. Covered with extensive greenery, the roof reintegrates the building into the rhythms of nature and rural life. The stone masonry and heavy timber gates reference the archetype of a rural homestead, while the lightweight structure and deep roof overhang give the building a contemporary identity.

Beneath this “floating” roof is a covered area for municipal equipment. Inside, a compact steel-clad module provides essential facilities - an office, a changing room, and sanitary amenities. An opening in the southeast façade brings natural light into the workspace.

The material composition of the structure bridges old and new: stone masonry with brick vaults meets black steel, while the contrasting timber gates open toward the courtyard. The inserted module is clad in anthracite-colored sheet metal, harmonized with the window frames. Walkable and drivable surfaces are finished in gray concrete pavers - a durable, restrained foundation that allows the dialogue between structure and light to stand out.

The new building connects to the village road and offers a clear north–south passage through to the utility yard, used for material handling and storage. A secondary access point leads to an adjacent plot, where a newly built access road opens the building toward the landscape.
